The forty-three years old Peter Mengel is a strategic and operational marketing expert with many years of experience in the IT industry. By leveraging his extensive know-how, he will promote the Central and Eastern European marketing activities of the U.S. vendor of database and integration technology.
The new marketing director is committed to expand the market leadership of the post-relational database management system Caché in the embedded database area and to increase the market shares of Ensemble in the integration market. Here Peter Mengel focuses on the partner-oriented business model of InterSystems: „I am looking forward to cooperating with our implementation and cooperation partners which constitute a tremendous value in the course of our strategy. As Caché and Ensemble have been marketed nearly exclusively as an integral part of industry applications, we support our partners in the development and implementation of tailored marketing concepts,“ he explains his strategy. „Because only after our partners have sold and implemented their applications successfully in the end user market, we are generating revenue.“
Before working for InterSystems, Peter Mengel has been managing director of BindView in Germany and France, a software company focusing on policy & compliance management, vulnerability & configuration management, and directory & access management. In addition he held several management positions at Hummingbird, Software AG, Sybase, and Dell.
